Yet another article on running barefoot.
I have a bit of a anti-corporate leaning to me. This is probably an understatement. If any of my family actually read that statement, there would be many chortles and guffaws. I have a very strong anti-corporate leaning. I have a bigger mistrust when the people who are telling me that I need special kinds of shoes are the ones that stand to profit from convincing me to buy said shoe.
This wasn’t helped by the fact that I got brand new shoes before the triathlon I was going to run, and then proceeded to get a stress fracture in my foot 2 weeks before the tri. The funny part is, I know this probably has more to do with increased volume than it does with the new shoes, but I still don’t trust the shoes. To this day, the shoes that worked the best for me are the Nike Free’s that I used to run (though they were a bit narrow for me). I may have to switch back, even though the running store suggested otherwise.
